8 Weeks Old!!!
Time seems to speed up when you have kids, and the more kids the faster it goes! My sweet little peanut is already 8 weeks old today.
Day 181: A sweet friend of mine sent this "Emmett" shirt and I thought it was appropriate to take his picture wearing it today.
And yesterday's picture:
Julian is obsessed with a video game on Daddy's iPhone called Toy Bot Diaries. So as he was playing with cardboard bricks, he spelled out the word "TOY" because he has Toy Bot on the brain! He's been reading a lot lately and starting to practice writing words, too.

Boys and Their Robots
Although I haven't posted them lately, I've still been taking my daily photos for Project 365 (taking a daily photo and journaling about it). So here I am, diving back into it!
Day 181: Mark helped Julian build a robot during the quietest part of the day -- while Vincent was napping! Julian and Vincent spent the afternoon before dinner today playing with robots, complete with the appropriate sound effects. It was cracking me up listening to Julian saying "alert, alert!" with his robot and Vincent copying him. Gotta love little boys and their robots!

Meet Baby Emmett
Sigh. What can I say about baby Emmett? He's wonderful. He's very sweet. He's adorable. He's my easiest baby yet. He's smiling at me daily, starting to coo occasionally, and a few days ago -- only once -- he attempted his first little laugh and it was the cutest thing ever. He's got the best little dimple in his right cheek when he smiles (or makes grimaces), which was evident in the first minutes after his birth. I'm totally in love with Emmett, as are we all, and he's been a wonderful addition. Our family is complete.
Here are a few of my favorite portrait studio shots of Emmett at one month. We decided to do a family portrait of all five of us when Emmett is a little older.
Many more pictures are coming soon, I promise!

Right Now
I know, I know, it's been AGES since I posted something. My life is crazy busy with three kids now! I promise I'll be posting lots of pictures soon and getting back into the daily blogging habit. Until then, here's a fun little exercise I found on two of my favorite blogs (by Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske) that didn't take up much time.
Outside my window... it's overcast and wet from when it rained earlier today.
I am thinking... I wish there was more time in my day to scrap and clean the house!
I am thankful for... three healthy, beautiful boys and a wonderful husband.
From the kitchen... yummy blueberry crumble using organic blueberries. It's fabulous warmed and served with vanilla ice cream!
I am wearing... jeans and a black t-shirt.
I am creating... scrapbook layouts in my head.
I am going... to get my haircut in a few hours -- long overdue (no pun intended!).
I am reading... Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Excellent writer! Every time I nurse baby Emmett, I read and it's so relaxing!
I am hoping... Emmett will start sleeping through the night soon, but I'm not holding my breath!
I am hearing... the mellow music of Emmett's swing as he naps; an airplane outside; the sound machine through the monitor as Vincent naps; Julian making various noises.
Around the house... I see lots of cleaning and things that need to be done and I never have time to do it all!
One of my favorite things... is when the house is quiet around 8pm and I can just relax with Mark and the baby.
A few plans for the rest of the week... the boys and I will have lunch at The Good Earth with my mom and aunt; dinner out with Mark for our 8th anniversary (we may have to bring the baby along if he won't take a bottle!); a birthday party on the weekend; weeding in the yard with my family.
A picture to share... from this morning, a familiar scene that plays out every weekday morning. Julian and Vincent wave to Daddy as he leaves for work.
